President Tinubu Presents APC Flag to Senator Okpebholo, Says Party on the Path to Victory in Edo Guber
President Bola Tinubu says the All Progressives Congress (APC) is on the path to victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Edo State.
President Tinubu expressed the optimism on Monday in Abuja during the presentation of the party’s flag to the Edo gubernatorial candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and his running mate, Honourable Dennis Idahosa.
Addressing a gathering of party stalwarts led by the National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, at the State House, the President pledged that the party would stand with the candidates ”like the wall of Gibraltar.”
”If you are happy; we are happy. If you are determined; we are determined. We are going to work with you. We are going to stand with you like the wall of Gibraltar. That is all I can assure you. The party is supreme, but victory is superior and very important,” the President said.

FIC Report (Edo State) –In a significant affirmation of leadership, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised Governor Monday Okpebholo for his efforts in revitalizing and enhancing healthcare services in Edo State.
Speaking through the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Ishaq Salako, who led a team to the Edo State Government House to formalize a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the establishment of a National Obstetrics Fistula Centre in Benin City, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare for the citizens of Edo.
Dr. Salako referenced the challenges faced in launching the Centre prior to Governor Okpebholo’s tenure, noting that while efforts stalled under the previous administration, significant progress has been made in just three months under the new leadership. “We struggled for over a year, but thanks to your administration, we’ve successfully set up a temporary facility in Benin City and secured a 24-hectare site for a permanent structure,” he stated.

PRESIDENT BUHARI COMMENDS ELECTION PROCESS IN EDO STATE, REITERATES COMMITMENT TO FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS
President Muhammadu Buhari has commended the election process in Edo State which led to the victory of Governor Godwin Obaseki as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The President congratulated the winner and urged him to show grace and humility in victory.
In his reaction to the outcome of the election as announced by INEC, President Buhari said:
"My commitment to free and fair elections is firm, because without free and fair elections, the foundation of our political and moral authority will be weak."
The President added:
"I have consistently advocated for free and fair elections in the country because it is the bedrock of true democratic order.
"Democracy will mean nothing if the votes of the people don't count or if their mandate is fraudulently tampered with."
He commended the people of Edo State, the parties, candidates and security agencies for conducting themselves responsibly.
