Soprano Yeree Suh studied at the Seoul National University, at the Berlin University of the Arts under Harald Stamm, in Leipzig with Regina Werner-Dietrich and at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Gerd Türk. Her repertoire focuses on works from the 17th and 18th centuries but also includes contemporary compositions.
Since her debut as a Nymph in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo under René Jacobs at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music in 2003, followed by engagements at the Berlin State Opera and the Theater an der Wien, she has worked regularly with conductors who engaged with historically informed performance practice, including Philippe Herreweghe, Ton Koopman, Andrea Marcon, Jean-Christophe Spinosi and Masaaki Suzuki, as well as with ensembles such as Anima Eterna Brugge, the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the Venice Baroque Orchestra and the Finnish Baroque Orchestra.
She has performed Unsuk Chin’s Akrostichon-Wortspiel with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and Ligeti’s Mysteries of the Macabre with Ensemble intercontemporain, as well as songs by Webern. Oth

Biography
Guest of the National Theatre Opera. Soprano Yeree Suh made her Professional Debüt with René Jacobs at the Innsbrucker Festwochen as Ninfa in Monteverdi’s Orfeo in 2003, a role she repeated at the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin in 2004 and at Vienna’s Theater an der Wien in 2007. Since her debut she has established herself internationally as one of the most versatile and sought after singers in Baroque repertoire and Contemporary music. Yeree Suh commenced her training at the Seoul National University with Professor Hyunjoo Yun before furthering her studies in Europe at Berlin’s Universität der Künste (studying Opera with Professor Harald Stamm and graduating with distinction), with Professor Regina Werner-Dietrich in Leipzig and with Professor Gerd Türk at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Baroque Vocal).
