Coming from a talented musical family, esteemed drummer Land Richard was given an early introduction to the powerful soul movement emanating from Muscle Shoals in the 1960's. By the time Land was twelve, he was already performing in local clubs and taking the scene by storm!

During his illustrious career as a drummer, Land Richards has worked with the music industry's finest, including - Michael Bolton, Natalie Cole, Sheena Easton, Eddie Harris, Chaka Kahn, Jeff Lorber, Dionne Warwick, Stevie Nicks, George Benson, Patti Austin, Will Downing, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder and many many more!

Land also lay down drums for albums like the Temptations Phoenix Rising, Norman Brown Just Between Us, and Glayds Night Just for You.

American Christian leader (born 1946)

Richard D. Land (born 1946) was the president of Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina, a post he held from July 2013 until his retirement in 2021.[2]

Formerly he served as president of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC), the public policy arm of the Southern Baptist Convention in the United States, a post he held from 1988 to 2013, when he stepped down in the wake of his controversial comments about the Trayvon Martin case. He announced his intention to retire effective October 23, 2013,[3] and Russell D. Moore filled the post.[4]

Land hosted the nationally syndicated radio programRichard Land Live! from 2002 to 2012. He is the executive editor of The Christian Post.

Education

Land received his A.B. in history from Princeton University in 1969. He later received his Th.M. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and DPhil from Regent’s Park,[5]University of Oxford, where he did his doctorate research on the Puritan movement
