Biography:
Kirby Morrow was born in Jasper, Alberta on August 28th, 1973 and graduated with a degree in theatre from Mount Royal University in Calgary. Kirby trained in theatre and developed his vocal skills on the stand-up comedy stages around the world. He began voicing characters in various mediums (animation, Muppets, etc.) in 1997, amidst his flourishing acting career, which includes feature films, guest starring roles on television, and theatre. On November 18th, 2020, Kirby lost his life at the age of 47.

Kirby has voiced lead characters on the following cartoons: Project Arms, Barbie & the Nutcracker, Mary Kate & Ashley, Alienators, Dragonball Z, Gundam Wing, X-Men: Evolution, The Vision of Escaflowne, Nascar Racers, Z-Mind, Brats of the Lost Nebula, Yvon of the Yukon, Ark, Hamtaro, Kong, Transformers Armada, Inuyasha, and more.

Kirby Morrow (born in Jasper, Alberta, Canada) was a Canadian voice actor, stand-up comedian and television and stage actor.

Biography[]

Kirby Morrow studied theater at Mount Royal University in Calgary. He resided in Vancouver, British Columbia.

He frequently worked with Ocean Productions, where he lent his voice to their animated productions. His most notable voice acting role in Dragon Ball Z was Goku from episodes 145-276 (160-291 uncut) of the Ocean Group dubs.

Some of his other roles include Michelangelo in Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation, Elecman in Megaman NT Warrior, Cole in Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, Trowa Barton in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Scott Summers/Cyclops in X-Men: Evolution, Miroku in InuYasha, Rey Za Burel in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Aikka in Oban Star-Racers.

Kirby auditioned to reprise his role as Goku in the Ocean dub of Dragon Ball Z Kai but was turned down.

When including TV, movie and video game roles, Kirby Morrow can be credited over 200 times for his work in an impressive career going back to 1979. Probably best known for his roles as Captain Dave Kleinman (Stargate Atlantis), Teru Mikami (Death Note Re-Light 2), Cyclops and Scott Summers (X‑Men Evolution TV series) Cole (Lego Ninjago: Day of the Departed), Van Fanel (Escaflowne), Goku (Dragon Ball Z) and in At Jesus’ Side, he was the voice of Jesus.

Trivia: Kirby used his natural speaking voice to voice all of his characters.
