Jeff Hem continues to serve as the "Voice of the Sounds" for the 2024 season. He enters his 13th year in Music City and his 19th overall season behind the microphone.

In 2012, Hem arrived in Nashville with eight seasons and over 1,100 games of professional baseball experience under his belt. He spent the previous seven seasons with the Single-A Kane County Cougars of the Midwest League, including 2009 when the Cougars, then an A's affiliate, were managed by former Sounds skipper Steve Scarsone.

Career highlights for Hem include making his regular season Major League broadcast debut in June 2018 with the Oakland A's for a doubleheader at the Chicago White Sox, being part of the radio broadcast team for the 2018 Triple-A All-Star Game in Columbus, Ohio, and calling the inaugural game at First Horizon Park on April 17, 2015. While with the Cougars, he also enjoyed the opportunity to call two minor league games at Wrigley Field in Chicago and Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

Richard Joseph Carmichael (born November 27, 1979) is an American former professional motocross and supercross racer. Widely regarded as one of the greatest riders of all time,^[1] Carmichael won 15 AMA Motocross and Supercross championships, including a record-setting 10 AMA Motocross 450cc championships and five AMA Supercross 450cc titles. He holds the record for the most overall motocross wins in AMA history (150 wins) and was twice undefeated in the outdoor motocross series (2002, 2004). He also represented Team USA in the Motocross des Nations three times, contributing to several victories.^[2]

After retiring from professional motocross in 2007, Carmichael transitioned to stock car racing, competing in the ARCA Racing Series and NASCARCamping World Truck Series between 2008 and 2011.^[3] He secured multiple top-ten finishes before returning focus to motocross-related ventures.
