Biography and career[]

Elaine Kao was raised in the San Fernando Valley area in Los Angeles, California. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. However, after graduating, Kao decided to pursue a career in acting instead, completing a Master's degree in Acting from CalArts.

Through her career, Kao has appeared in numerous commercials for companies and brands like Target, Microsoft, Mastercard, Dell, Capital One, Walmart, Travelocity, Hartford, and many others. She has also been a member of company theaters like Lodestone Theatre Ensemble, and acted in numerous theatres and venues across the country.

In film and television, Kao has appeared in TV shows like NCIS: Los Angeles (with Tzi Ma and Fernando Chien), Entourage (with Kevin Dillon), Grey's Anatomy, and Fresh Off the Boat. She has also appeared in films like Bridesmaids and Funny People.

    Early life and education

    Kao was raised in the San Fernando Valley.[1] She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of California, Irvine, and earned her Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in acting from the California Institute of the Arts.[1]
